free counters Hi and welcome to our site. We hope that these few pages will give you some idea of where we are and what this fantastic part of Portugal has to offer. Nestling in the Covas valley surrounded by mountains with the Serra d’Arga range (rising to as much as 825 meters) due south, the Retreat is a fantastic place in which to relax – in a traditional unspoilt environment – after a long days walk. With an outside dining area you can rest your tired legs whilst enjoying a glass of the local wine and luxuriating in an almost total absence of noise. As well as our traditional self catering barn accommodation we have available a twin and a double room both with on-suite facilities and independent access. These rooms can be let on a B+B basis, as extra accommodation for parties of greater than 2 who wish to rent the barn or as a base for further exploring this beautiful unspoiled region. Take a few minutes to explore the site and imagine for yourself. Go to the Getting Here page accessed from the side bar for flight and other information including a Flight Search tool – you can even work out your individual carbon footprint for your chosen flight. Click here to find us on the map and get a little more information about the village of Covas. You can get directions to the house if you first click on the Casa Anno 1869 bed icon then “get directions” and type in your starting location e.g. Porto Airport. You can also see where we are if you click to the Locally page (on the side bar) of this site. Check if the dates you require are available on the OwnersDirect website (twin and double room availability not shown here) at Holiday Rentals from Owners Direct property reference P4016 (Costa Verde).

Availabilty of the barn and the twin and double rooms can also be viewed in the Prices and Availability section of this site.

More basic tourism information for the region (a bit slow to be up-dated but with many useful pages in English) can be viewed on this website.

Please feel free to post comments and/or suggestions on this site.
